Linda has been one of the area's top ranked REALTORS® for the last 26 years. Her technical skills in contract drafting, negotiating and assessing value are second to none. Her mission is to satisfy every client. Her background provides her with a wealth of knowledge that substantially enhances her value to her clients. Life-long interests in history, architecture and interior design led her to help found the Historic Mount Pleasant association and work with the DC Preservation League to attain federal historic district status for the Mount Pleasant, Cleveland Park and Kalorama Triangle neighborhoods. Historic preservation consulting followed naturally, where Linda assisted developers with design and regulatory compliance issues in most of the city's historic neighborhoods. She is a co-author of Washington at Home - An Illustrated History of Neighborhoods in the Nation's Capitol (1988, 2010) Linda's husband, Rob Low, is now also her business partner and a critical member of Linda's team. He works with buyers and sellers and is extremely knowledgable about real estate in the area. He owned a CPA firm for many years and is also an expert in real estate tax and finance issues. As part of our team's services, he is available to help clients with answers to their questions in these areas. Linda's team has grown to four people and provides outstanding, full-time service to our clients. Mila Salazar is our buyer specialist, but she also works with sellers throughout the area and has become our condo listing expert. Katie Eisenbarth manages our office, listings, settlements, and paperwork full-time; she is also licensed as a sales agent. Picking an agent is a very important decision. Not only is your home one of your most important financial investments, it's also critical to your basic emotional well-being. We believe that our clients return to us repeatedly and refer us to their friends because they understand that we really do care about their happiness, and that we have the mix of knowledge and sensitivity needed to help them achieve their real estate goals. In many cases the most important thing we do for buyers is help them identify what these goals are. The Linda Low Team's members genuinely love both people and houses. Helping put them together in the right way is a great pleasure. Please contact us to discuss your needs and how we can help satisfy them.

Financing Your Home >Mortgage Fears
It is not unusual for home buyers to feel that the lender is being very critical during the loan approval process. The buyer is required to provide all kinds of financial information, and then the lender asks for more. If this is your experience, and the process seems discouraging, remember that none of this is personal!
Some lenders have more stringent requirements than others, but every lender requires a substantial amount of documentation on a mortgage loan. They must verify employment, credit history, and recent financial transactions involving your liquid assets. If your Visa payment was late, they may ask for a letter explaining why. If you are self-employed, they will ask for tax returns from at least three years and probably a year-to-date profit and loss statement.
Government regulations require mortgage companies to document everything. And while the loan officer may know that you are a reliable risk, the underwriters must be able to defend the loan to a federal bank examiner or auditor.
